I've updated our stone staffs forum, not all functionality is here but hopefully its more along the lines you'd prefer - I must admit it has it advantages especially when browsing through threads.
I'll do the registered user now and then the search (this has always been in place but I just replaced it with google search).
I've also done a backoffice for the forum and the business directory. email me for a password.
The old stone forum can be found here and is still operational if you prefer.
