Make sure your getting the most from your community web site with
these Into-Stone Help Pages
Welcome to the Into-Stone community web site. The aim of this site
is provide all members of the community with a comprehensive and effective
prescence on the Internet. As more of us contribute the site will
grow, as the site grows it is essential that you can still find the
information you need quickly and intuitively.
Glossary of Terms
Into-Stone Home Page - When you connect to the Into-Stone Community
Web Site this is the first page you will see. It displays all the
buttons and links you will need to navigate or browse through the
site.
Navigation Panel - The blue boxes that contain the text links
situated on the sides of the page. Click these links to browse through
the site.
Section - The Section navigation panel lets you browse through
the business directory. When you click on a section you will be shown
a list of sub-sections within the section. This structure allows you
to more efficiently find the services you require.
Features - The features navigation panel gives you easy access
to all the articles, features and news items on the site. This will
change from week to week as we add more content to the site, however
the Whats On in Stone
and News links
will always be the first two links in this panel.
Quick Search - This panel allows you to search the entire site for businesses, articles, features - even the classified section; making sure that you can get what you want from ths site quickly and easily.
You can also search the entire World Wide Web from your community site. Change the search drop-down from 'This Site' to 'The Web' and you have a powerful search facility powered by the Excite search engine.
Search Tips - Try and be as specific with your search keywords as possible, for example 'indian takeaways that deliver'.Use the '+' sign to restrict results. For example 'indian takeaways' will return any matches of 'indian' or 'takeaways', however keywords 'indian+takeaway' will only match that phrase. If you want to search a specific section of the site, the Events Section for example, click through into that section and use the search facility in the title bar.
At the bottom of the page are links to the regulaur features of the site. These sections will let you contribute to the site. All features and services provided here are kindly sponsored by members of the bsuiness directory and are completely free of charge.
JOIN-UP - This section gives you the opportunity to join the Into-Stone Community mailing list. Fill in in the form and choose the areas of interest you would like to kept up to date on. You will then be informed by email of any offers, articles or events that apply to you as soon as they are published on the site. You will also be allocated an Into-Stone Identity Code. Look after this as it will entitle you to special offers and discounts around the town.
INTERACT - Use this section to voice your opinion and reply to others. Currently we have a guestbook and a threaded forum for you to leave you message and have your say. This section is regulated by Into-Stone staff and is also automatically monitored for bad language.
HOME - The Into-Stone Community web site is designed with ease of navigation at the fore. However if you do become confused this button will always bring you back to the Into-Stone Home Page.
GALLERY - This section brings together a comprehensive set of images from around and pertaining to Stone. As with all sections, we hope you will want to contribute either suggestions or actual photographs to expand and enhance this resource.
All current photographs are kindly provided by the Staffordshire Newsletter.
Images are preferred in a digital format, however we will accept hard copies and photographs.
Suitable images will be made web-ready by the Into-Stone IT team, and all original photographs returned. Digital Images can be emailed for consideration to gallery@into-stone.co.uk

JOBS - This section allows you to keep up-to date with the jobs market in Stone. Check for vacancies, post your CV or just stay informed if you're considering a change of direction.

JOIN-IN - This section is a collection of all the submission forms for the site. It is essential that the Stone community actively participate in the community web site and Into-Stone actively encourage any contributions and have tried to reflect this in the site. Use this section to submit events, news items articles or comments and suggestions. We guarantee that all serious contributions will be considered - we cannot stress enough this is a community web site, built for the community, by the community.
